Pasadena, California
Pasadena, California host of the Rose Bowl, is just a short trip northeast of Los Angeles. Old Pas is known for its Victorian and Art Deco buildings, and great shopping and dining. Pasadena is home to CalTech, one of the highest-ranked universities in the country. If you hear chirping in the air, don't be alarmed, it's probably just a local parrot. You may best know the City of Roses for the extravagant parade it puts on each year, with over 60,000 roses covering the floats each New Year's Day.
