TRANSPORTATION

Modes of Transportation

  • Car is not needed if you live on public transportation routes. If commuting from suburbs, a car may be needed

  • Local transportation, will get you around the city​​​

  • Subway

    • will get you from East Bay to the city and SFO airport​

  • Bus system that goes North, across the GG bridge to Saysalito. You get a discount with clipper card but cannot use it

Transportation Specific to San Fran.

  • Popular railways

    • The Bart, The Muni, Caltrain

    • train system of SF area, goes from SF suburbs (San Jose area) to the city

    • Get a Clipper Card - only sold at Walgreens or get the app "MuniMobile" (can use on the muni, BART, and Caltrain​)

  • Golden Gate Transit
